meets needs of user and patient
Anaesthesia Station. The IntegrusPSV workstation for anaesthesia has an intensive care style ventilator and features a workflow oriented ergonomic design. The system is capable of managing a wide range of patients from neonates to adults, including those with severe respiratory disorders. To deliver precise ventilation, the station includes a "Closed Loop Feedback Control" system, which monitors each breath proximal tothe airway via a lightweight flow sensor, automatically adjusting its delivery to overcome changes in fresh gas flow, small system leaks, changing lung compliance or compression losses in the ventilator, absorber and bellows. Since this anaesthesia delivery platform can offer a wide range ofventilation modes, including IPPV (Volume Controlled), PCV (Pressure Controlled) and the additional support of electronic PEEP, as well as SIMV (Synchronised Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) and PSV (Pressure Support Ventilation), the workstation is equallycapable of managing those patients that are undergoing general anaesthesia (GA) as it is those capable of breathing spontaneouslyunder sedation. SIMV and PSV are, furthermore, particularly useful for assisting patients emerging from general anaesthesia, but arenot yet fully awake and able to breathe without some assistance.
