Three-dimensinal Cardiovascular Cartography. The assessment of the functional haemodynamics and functional physiology of the human circulatory system is an important component in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular ailments. With 3D-Cardiovascular Cartography (3DCCG), the cardiovascular functions can be mapped clearly and non-invasively by means of electrical bioimpedance measurement.Using a series of proprietary technologies including transaortic signal modulation (TSM), flow turbulence accelerometry (FTA), as well as mathematical modelling and back propagation artificial neural network (ANN), the Haemoseis 256 will non-invasively and accurately measure and map more than 60 parameters relating to systemic, pulmonary and coronary circulation. The system analyses these parameters to reconstruct images and produce graphical representations. By producing the complete cardiovascular profile of a patient, 3DCCG technology contributes to the early detection of coronary artery disease (CAD), its management and prognosis. Furthermore, the technology helps to recognise the underlying causes of chest pain, in the absence of CAD. In addition to the determination of myocardial blood flow and the early detection of CAD, applications for this non-invasive haemodynamic system range from the assessment of neonatal circulatory adaptation extrauterine life, to evaluation following percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) and stent implantation.
