The iExaminer turns the Welch Allyn PanOptic™ Ophthalmoscope into a mobile digital imaging device allowing the user to view and take pictures of the eye anytime and anywhere. The easily-portable adapter lets the iPhone® 4 or 4S camera capture high resolution pictures of the fundus and retinal nerve in a simple and cost-effective manner. And with a 5x larger view of the fundus than standard ophthalmoscopes, conditions such as hypertension, diabetic retinopathy, and papilledema are more easily observed. The iExaminer then makes it possible to store the pictures in a patient file or share them with peers or patients at the touch of a button, truly maximizing workflow. The complete iExaminer system consists of three core components: the PanOptic Ophthalmoscope, the iExaminer Adapter, and the iExaminer App.
