Responsive ventilator

Responsive ventilator. A pneumatically powered, micro-processor-controlled ventilator, the Vivo is primarily designed for intensive care from neonates to adults. The ventilator can be set to respond to pressure, flow, time or manual triggers. It can thus interact with the patient, allowing patients to breathe for themselves where able. In volume mode, the tidal volume required is delivered at lower pressure levels than traditional controlled ventilation. Parameters measured include airway pressure, peak flow, expiratory time, inspiratory time with the ration of spontaneous breaths, expired tidal volume and expired minute volume. Audible and visual alarms for maximum and minimum limits are available, and all alarm events are recorded. The ventilator control panel incorporates a 10-in. colour monitor for display of patient information. Responsive ventilator
